Business Developer at ABF Sydost
ABF is Sweden's leading study association and a force for change. We work to create a more equal and inclusive society, where more people have the opportunity to grow through education, culture, and community. Our roots lie in the labor movement, and we believe in the power of adult education to strengthen democracy and give more people a voice.
Curiosity and development are at the center of our world – both for those we reach through our activities and for you who become part of ABF.
About the Role
ABF Sydost is a newly formed district operating across Småland, Blekinge, and Gotland. The district's role is to coordinate, share best practices, and work on business development to create equal operations throughout the region. The organization is currently under construction, offering you a great opportunity to help shape working methods and structures for a long-term sustainable organization. The position involves work within the entire geographical area of the district.
1 position(s).
Responsibilities
As a Business Developer at the district level, you have a strategic, coordinating, and supportive assignment. You work to create conditions for operations, strengthen quality, equality, and long-term development across the entire district by supporting branches, initiating development processes, and building sustainable structures.
This is not a finished role in a finished organization. It is a role for you who thrive in change, see opportunities in the unfinished, and want to help build both structure and team.
The role includes, among other things:
- Collaborating with our trade union and political member organizations
- Contributing to pedagogical development and support
- Working with the district's communication channels
- Initiating and supporting project applications and regional projects
- Creating networks, meeting places, and structures for learning and knowledge exchange
- Collaborating with regional actors, civil society, and authorities
The focus of the role is on coordinating cross-union studies and strengthening structures, processes, and collaboration – not on conducting local operations yourself.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who wants to develop both operations and people. We see that you, as a candidate, have good knowledge of adult education and experience working within civil society, study associations, or related activities.
You should have experience in business development, project management, or similar development work, and possess very good digital competence. It is important that you have the ability to work strategically, structured, and with a long-term perspective.
We consider it a given that you have very good communication skills in both speech and writing and are familiar with administrative systems and Microsoft 365.
We place great emphasis on your personal experiences and qualities and assume that you share the values of the labor movement.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license (Category B) and access to a personal car.
Employment Conditions
Type of Employment: Permanent position.
As an employee at ABF, you are covered by the employment conditions specified in the Civil Movement Agreement, which regulates, among other things, pension, vacation, and salary models.
Permanent full-time position, initially with a 6-month probationary period, goal-oriented working hours, 30 days of vacation, and the possibility of a wellness allowance.
Opportunities for remote work.
Selection takes place continuously during the application period. Feedback will be provided from mid-August.
