Kellfri is growing and is now looking for a Product Manager for our headquarters in Skara. In this role, you will hold a central position in developing and managing a strong and profitable product range, translating market and customer needs into products that create clear customer value and good business results.
About the role
As Product Manager, you are responsible for developing and driving parts of Kellfri's assortment based on market needs, customer requirements, and the company's business strategy. You work closely with sales, marketing, after-sales, purchasing, logistics, and suppliers to ensure that the products are relevant, competitive, and commercially strong.
The role covers the entire product lifecycle – from idea and assortment development to launch, follow-up, improvement, and phase-out. You identify business opportunities, analyze the assortment, and drive improvements that strengthen both customer value and profitability.
Key responsibilities include:
- developing and managing a commercially strong product assortment
- analyzing the market, competition, customer needs, pricing, and profitability
- ensuring that products meet customer requirements regarding functionality, user-friendliness, and value for money
- driving product development and improvement projects from idea to launch
- monitoring product performance, sales, margins, and assortment development
- developing and securing commercial arguments for new and existing products
- maintaining ongoing contact with suppliers and supporting sales, marketing, and after-sales with product knowledge and decision-making support
Operational purchasing is handled by the purchasing department, but the role involves close collaboration with purchasing on matters concerning assortment, suppliers, pricing, availability, and product development.
The position is full-time based at the office in Skara, involving approximately 30 travel days per year within Europe and Asia. You will be employed directly by Kellfri AB, starting immediately or as agreed.
Note: Due to summer holidays, we will not respond to candidates during weeks 28–32. We will resume the selection and contact process from week 33. Thank you for your patience and understanding – we look forward to receiving your application!
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a clear business drive, technical interest, and the ability to see what creates value for the customer. You understand that a good product is not always the most advanced one – but the one that solves the customer's needs in a simple, sustainable, and cost-effective way.
You thrive in a role where you take responsibility, drive issues forward, and work closely with several parts of the organization. You are communicative and have an easy way of building trust, both internally and externally. A key part of the role is being able to explain business benefits, sell ideas internally, and get others in the organization on board.
We believe you have:
- experience in product management, product development, assortment work, technical purchasing, sourcing, or a similar role
- relevant education in engineering, product development, purchasing, marketing, or equivalent experience
- good commercial understanding and interest in business
- technical interest and the ability to understand product function, usage, and customer benefit
- experience with supplier contacts and negotiations
- strong analytical skills and experience working with assortment, pricing, profitability, and market needs
Experience from agriculture, forestry, construction, vehicles, machinery, or technical products is meritorious but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have the right drive, business understanding, and willingness to develop products that create real value for our customers.
As a person, you are analytical, structured, and able to prioritize among several parallel projects. At the same time, you are curious, practical, and interested in how products are actually used by the customer.
You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, and have good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. A driver's license and access to a car are required.
