About the role
Are you a structured and driven individual with experience in regulatory compliance, sustainability, or procurement? We are now looking for a Regulatory Compliance Consultant for our client in the automotive industry. In this role, you will hold a key position where you ensure compliance with procurement-related regulations and requirements, both locally and internationally, by developing and implementing policies, processes, and controls.
You will collaborate closely with procurement, legal, sustainability, and other internal stakeholders to drive regulatory activities forward, identify risks, and support the business in compliance-related matters. This role is ideal for you if you thrive in an international environment where collaboration, structure, and a proactive approach are key to success.
This is a full-time consulting assignment starting September 1, 2026. The assignment runs until May 2027, with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a central support for the procurement organization regarding regulatory compliance matters
- Actively participate in regulatory networks and coordinate activities within the business
- Monitor and interpret regulations and industry standards affecting the procurement process
- Support and further develop existing compliance processes, action plans, and monitoring tools
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, and sourcing functions to handle compliance-related issues
- Develop and update guidelines, instructions, and training materials
- Identify and assess risks within the procurement area and contribute to risk-reducing measures
- Support sustainability initiatives, such as the decarbonization of the supply chain
- Contribute to a cybersecurity project within the procurement organization
- Ensure effective collaboration between various stakeholders and create alignment on regulatory requirements in an international environment
About you
We are looking for someone with experience from the automotive industry and strong competence in process management related to procurement processes. Furthermore, we see that you are analytical, communicative, and have a genuine interest in regulatory issues, sustainability, and risk management. You have an easy time building relationships and collaborating with different stakeholders while working in a structured and independent manner in complex environments.
To succeed in the role, you are proactive, solution-oriented, and enjoy coordinating activities across multiple functions. You have a good ability to translate regulations and requirements into practical working methods and communicate them clearly to the business.
Requirements for the role
- Post-secondary education in areas such as law, procurement, economics, or similar relevant field
- Approx. 2-5 years of experience working in procurement and compliance or regulatory issues, specifically within the automotive industry.
- Experience in process development and process management
- Knowledge of project management and coordination of cross-functional initiatives
- Good understanding of supplier management and supply chain management
- Experience working with relevant regulations such as EUDR, EUBR, CRMA.
- Very good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience working with sustainability issues and/or cybersecurity projects is an advantage
