Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for you who are a teacher for grades 1–6 with qualifications in music. At Munkhätteskolan, you will be part of a working team in the middle school section where you will together meet the students' needs and share joint responsibility for the teaching. You will teach in half-classes starting from grade 3 in a well-functioning classroom with excellent opportunities to provide good and quality teaching. The room is well-equipped with various instruments as well as good digital resources.
As a teacher at Munkhätteskolan, we expect you to:
- Be able to build good relationships through curiosity and trust towards students and colleagues, have high expectations and confidence in the students' abilities, and have an encouraging and supportive approach.
- Develop your teaching through active learning together with colleagues, where you share your experiences and, through a pedagogically challenging approach, support and develop everyone's teaching.
- Have a versatile teaching with variation in teaching methods, challenges, and adaptations based on each student's prerequisites, with a good connection to the students' experiences and curiosity, and be able to demonstrate good connections between your teaching strategies and your students' results.
- Work with student influence in your teaching in such a way that students can develop and own their learning process, and provide feedback to the student that moves them forward in their learning.
- Work so that all teaching aims at each individual student's progression and results.
- Be able to create a safe and permissive climate in the classroom through clear structure.
- Work to develop teaching so that it is based on scientific grounds and proven experience.
Qualifications
You who apply are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching in music. If you have previous experience working as a music teacher, we see this as an advantage. You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's steering documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day.
Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good familiarity and practice, work effectively with relevant digital tools. As a person, you have good pedagogical skills and understanding of people's different prerequisites for acquiring knowledge. You have the ability to see the big picture, view issues from a larger perspective, and see opportunities in changes. In addition, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening and flexible manner.

Munkhätteskolan is a comprehensive school (Grades F-9) and a Grades 1-9 adapted comprehensive school with approx. 650 students.
