Swimming Teacher, Autumn Term 2026

For the upcoming school year, starting in week 35, our curious and eager students need two teachers who can work on a hourly basis on Fridays.

You should have experience teaching swimming. The students you will meet are in year 2 and above. We want you to work with us, not just for us. Please note that a personal sports background is not a requirement, but rather a merit.

You are equally interested in education and personal development. You are a role model, both as a swimming teacher and as a person. Personal qualities are important to us.

About the Workplace

Vasalundsskolan is an independent primary school (grades F-6) with approximately 320 students. The school is located next to the Lundsbäck housing area in the beautiful and green Vasatorp in Helsingborg, easily accessible by car or public transport. Collegial learning is close to our hearts, and we work on it continuously. We enjoy working together in teams, meaning you are never alone.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who can and wants to teach swimming. Our PE teacher follows up on the instruction and consults with you regarding student progression.

We would like you to contribute with engagement, creativity, and a drive to develop the operations. You meet every student with respect and sensitivity. You must have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as our students' language development must be constantly strengthened.

You should be able to handle challenges from students and also find joy in their successes.

As a person, you are solution-focused, unpretentious, and flexible.

About the Position

The position is a fixed-term employment with a start date in August 2026 when the autumn term begins, or by agreement. You will work exclusively on Fridays.

A valid extract from the criminal record register must be presented.
