About the Workplace

Prästavångsskolan has a total of approximately 360 students. This autumn, the school will merge into a grades F-6 school. The school has five school age educare (fritidshem) departments: four year-group-based departments for grades F-3 and a common after-school club for the older students in grades 4-6.

For many years, the school has worked health-promoting through health councils, value-based teams, and student health teams. Our physical activity initiative in collaboration with RF-SISU Skåne permeates a large part of the school's operations and recesses. In recent years, we have also become a "Reading Rules" school, linking reading with physical activity with extra reading-promoting initiatives before and during holidays. Reading should be a natural part of both the school and the after-school club.

Job Responsibilities

Are you a qualified teacher for school age educare and do you believe in the magic of storytelling? At Prästavångsskolan, we are proud to be a "Reading Rules" school. This means that reading is not just something we do in the classroom, but it is a natural part of the entire student's day, not least at the after-school club.

We are now looking for an inspirer who can creatively and joyfully integrate literature, read-aloud sessions, storytelling, and text discussions into the daily life and activities of the after-school club. Since reading is our superpower at the school, we want you to help brainstorm fun ways to bring language into play and community.

As a teacher for school age educare with us, you have a meaningful assignment where you plan and shape the activities based on the students' needs and the curriculum. You collaborate with the primary school during the school day to create security and a red thread for the children. You are driven by giving our students the best possible start based on their prerequisites, and as a person, you are development-oriented and enjoy close collaboration with both the primary school and your colleagues at the after-school club. You are an important cog in our successful development work, where an inclusive approach and collaboration are of great importance. At our school, all employees are encouraged to think creatively and come up with new ideas, which gives you great opportunities to influence your work situation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility for teaching at the school age educare (fritidshem), as well as in one or more practical-aesthetic subjects such as art, music, home economics, or similar.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and to succeed in the role, you have a conscious pedagogical approach where student participation and responsibility are in focus. You are professional in your interaction and have the ability to create and maintain good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

You are well-versed in the curriculum and can clearly organize, structure, and follow up on the systematic quality work at the school age educare based on stated goals. You have good self-insight, are confident in yourself and in your pedagogical leadership, and have a good ability to take leadership in both organized and more free teaching situations. You have an open and critical approach.

Experience and competence regarding language-developing methods at the school age educare, health-promoting work, and active promoting and preventive value-based work are also seen as particularly meritorious. You have good ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

We Offer

Welcome to a bold and innovative municipality that wants and can do a lot! The employment type is permanent. Working hours are according to a personal schedule within the framework of 06:15–18:00. Start date is according to agreement.
