At Agnesfrids Gymnasium, we are looking for a vocational teacher to teach on the Vehicle and Transport program, specializing in trucks and mobile machinery. We are seeking someone who wants to help shape the professionals of tomorrow. Ideally, you are a qualified vocational teacher with industry experience, but we also welcome candidates who are currently working in the field and have experience supervising students during their work-based learning (APL). Responsibilities

As a vocational teacher, you work to ensure that students develop their full potential – both academically and socially. You support, motivate, and stimulate each student to meet the knowledge requirements based on their individual prerequisites, preparing them for their future professional roles. Your duties include planning, teaching, and assessment, as well as evaluating and developing the pedagogical activities in accordance with the school's guidelines.

Together with your colleagues, you work to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff. You also contribute to the quality and development work at the school.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Vocational teacher education, qualified to teach within the Vehicle and Transport program specializing in trucks and mobile machinery
• Current knowledge from the industry
• Several years of professional experience as a mechanic/technician working with trucks, heavy vehicles, construction, buses, and/or agricultural machinery, along with very strong subject matter knowledge
• Experience using digital tools for communication and pedagogy
• Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

You understand how students' backgrounds, cultures, and previous experiences affect learning and interactions, and you create an inclusive learning environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

About the Workplace

Agnesfrids Gymnasium is a small school with a strong sense of community. We offer both upper secondary and adult education in vocational and introductory programs for students interested in electricity, technology, vehicles, and transport. Teaching takes place in professional facilities where service, repairs, maintenance, and installations are taught. The school is conveniently located in Fosieby, where many of the major car companies are based, providing close proximity to the labor market and collaboration partners.
