About the School

Praktiska Gymnasiet Kristianstad offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for an educational and enjoyable learning experience. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include: Plumbing and Property, Construction and Civil Engineering, Electricity and Energy, Vehicle and Transport, Hairdressing, Care and Nursing, and Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 360 students and about 45 employees.

Your Role
This is a part-time position at 60% as a vocational teacher for year 1 of the Vehicle and Transport program. Together with other colleagues, you will be part of a work team. We see you as an important and driving force to develop both the program and the subject, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues. In addition to vocational-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, have duties such as being a mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students socially and academically throughout their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment by sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. Those without teacher certification have the opportunity to apply for the position. In such cases, you and the school principal will jointly draw up a plan for how you can become certified in the shortest possible way. The duties include contact with the business sector as a large part of the students' study time consists of workplace-based learning (APL), and therefore good communication with employers is an asset.

We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students are eager to enter the workforce, and your biggest task is to lead them there!
