About the role and your responsibilities

Gunnesbo School is looking for a comprehensive school teacher to teach Swedish and English. Are you our new colleague?

The duties consist of teaching Swedish and English in the later years of comprehensive school (grades 7–9) and, within the profession, performing other common tasks for a comprehensive school teacher. The person appointed for the position will be part of a work team that also includes mentoring responsibilities.

As a comprehensive school teacher, you work pedagogically and socially based on the organization's goals and guidelines, as well as current regulatory documents. You are well-versed in the current curriculum and are responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching, working to promote students' learning and development.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a certified comprehensive school teacher with the qualifications to teach Swedish and English in grades 7–9. It is meritorious if you have previously been a teaching teacher and have experience with mentoring in grades 7–9. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have experience working with students with different needs and challenges.

We assume that you have excellent skills in pedagogical leadership, a good approach towards students, guardians, and colleagues, as well as a salutogenic attitude towards students and learning. You have good collaboration skills and the ability to create and maintain good relationships. Furthermore, you are structured, engaged, and ensure that your message is conveyed and followed up on.

We see that you as an applicant are well-versed in digital tools. To handle the assignment well, you also need good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

About the workplace

Gunnesbo School is a comprehensive school in the northwestern part of Lund. The number of students at the school is over 600, and the number in grades 7–9 amounts to approximately 280. This workplace is a place where people thrive and like to stay for a long time.

We are developing student-active working methods and approaches and operate according to the motto "Desire to Learn, Learn@Learn, and Lifelong Learning." The library, including information and communication technology, plays a major role and is well-developed. We also work from a preschool to grade 9 perspective to increase competence regarding neuropsychiatric disabilities and differentiated teaching/lesson design. We are also in the midst of an exciting development work within Relational Teaching.

At the Child and School Administration, we work to create equality and good conditions for all children and students in our preschools, comprehensive schools, and adapted comprehensive schools to reach their goals. Together, we work for a unified and clear management of preschool and school in a modern and efficient organization, with the goal of enabling world-class education.
