Your Role

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join a business characterized by technologically advanced development of customized system solutions involving both hardware and software. In this role, you have overall responsibility for translating customer and stakeholder requirements into concrete technical system solutions. The work is primarily project-based, involving both internal R&D projects and customer projects. Projects can span several years, and you play a central role throughout the entire lifecycle of the technical system solution.

You work in cross-functional teams where the development of the company's own product solutions is combined with adaptation and integration to meet specific customer needs. This role therefore has a clear focus on balancing standardized platforms with unique customer requirements.

As a Solutions Architect, you are responsible for:

• Analyzing customer and stakeholder requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Developing and documenting system architecture for complex systems (HW/SW).
• Ensuring HW/SW integration between subsystems and higher-level control systems.
• Driving technical trade-offs and architectural decisions.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., systems, software, electronics, test, and production).
• Ensuring that own product platforms are utilized efficiently and adapted to customer-specific needs.
• Supporting development teams in implementation and verification.
• Ensuring that solutions meet requirements for security, reliability, and performance.
• Contributing to systems engineering work according to established processes (e.g., requirements management, verification/validation).
• Participating in technical dialogues with customers and stakeholders.

Please note that travel may be required for this position, primarily to Växjö and Halmstad.

We are looking for you who have:

• A relevant university degree or Master of Science in Engineering.
• Several years of experience in system development within complex technical environments.
• Experience in architecture work for integrated systems (hardware and software).
• Experience working in cross-functional development teams.
• Good understanding of system integration, interfaces, and communication solutions.
• Experience with requirements management and systems engineering according to established methods (e.g., the V-model).
• Ability to communicate well in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience from the defense industry or other safety-critical operations.
• Knowledge of systems engineering according to e.g., INCOSE or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with standards and regulations related to safety-critical systems.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Knowledge of IT security and cybersecurity.

The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.

Please note that the selection process begins in week 33, starting August 10th.
