RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT unit at Åre Municipality actively works to create a sustainable and secure IT infrastructure and to contribute to the digital development of the operations. Server operations are outsourced to a partner. IT also works to help the municipality's various operations with the development of their IT solutions. Our ambition is to use new technology in a cost-effective way together with a changed way of working.

To the team, we are now looking for a Systems Engineer to work with the municipality's IT systems.

Primary tasks will involve operating Åre Municipality's applications and acting as the contact person between the operations partner and the suppliers of the various applications. Other occasional tasks may include participating in projects and tasks requiring your IT competence. However, the tasks may change over time. Since the team belongs to the development department, we do not work statically; solutions, methods, and routines change.

Åre Municipality has many IT systems and works actively with system owners, system administrators, and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you with:

• Documented experience in qualified IT in a large environment and very good IT infrastructure knowledge
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Education from a suitable university degree or other equivalent background
• Good ability to express yourself pedagogically in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• We are looking for someone who is engaged, innovative, and takes great responsibility.

As a person, you are open and social and have a natural ability to build good relationships and work in a team. Naturally, you have a strong dose of self-drive and good organizational skills. You are full of ideas, have good analytical skills, and have a great interest in how to optimize using IT tools and changed ways of working.

Remote work is allowed provided the tasks permit it.
