The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments, with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of preschool, primary school, and child/student health services, we are here for children and students – together we shape the future. The position is located at Hagaskolan, centrally situated in Varberg, near the train station. The school accommodates 500 students in grades F-9. The school offers a varied outdoor environment that facilitates play and movement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you play a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible conditions for learning. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you provide students with the prerequisites to grow based on their unique needs and goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Teaching in Ma/No (Mathematics/Natural Science) in grades 7-9.
• Plan, lead, and evaluate teaching based on steering documents and selected didactic strategies.
• Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence through professional leadership.
• Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence.
• Promote a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
• Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in daily pedagogical practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a secure pedagogical leader who provides guidance with warmth and clarity, creating the structure required for a safe learning environment. Collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success for you; you collaborate without hierarchy to develop the operations together with others.

You are skilled at building relationships and creating trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, possess didactic skills, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily condition.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has teacher certification with eligibility for teaching Ma/No in grades 7-9.
• Has the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific ground.
• Demonstrates skill in planning and systematically following up on operations within given frameworks.
• Has good assessment skills to follow up on students' development and provide constructive feedback.
• Has clear planning skills to structure lessons and work areas.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
