Swedish International Trade Council (Kommerskollegium) is Sweden's authority for foreign trade, the EU internal market, and trade policy. We work, among other things, with the EU's free trade agreements, opportunities for Swedish companies to import and export, and trade-related development cooperation. At Swedish International Trade Council, you will find yourself in an international environment where major trade policy issues are combined with concrete problem-solving for individual companies and individuals. Our vision is sustainable trade without barriers. We have approximately 110 employees, and our activity-based office is located centrally in Stockholm.

Swedish International Trade Council is a growing authority with several new tasks. Since the summer of 2025, we are also an emergency preparedness authority with sectoral responsibility for the foreign trade sector within the Swedish civil defense.

As part of the administrative unit, you play a central role in the operations. The unit consists of approximately 15 employees who work with operational and strategic support in areas such as IT, registry, archives, HR, finance, procurement, office and property administration, legal affairs, as well as security and preparedness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to be a key person in Swedish International Trade Council's handling of documents and cases? We are an expert authority with a rich history working on highly relevant issues. We are now looking for you who want to work with managing and developing the authority's information in the roles of Chief Registrar and Archivist.

Chief Registrar
As Chief Registrar, you have overall responsibility for the authority's diary registration, including the development of process support and diary codes. You provide support, training, and guidance to colleagues on matters concerning registration and case management. You are also a central part of the authority's dispatch for security-classified documents and may join the authority's signals security organization. The team includes another registrar responsible for ongoing registration, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with the Chief Legal Counsel. Together, you coordinate the authority's release of public documents.

Archivist
As Archivist, you are responsible for the authority's archives, which includes managing and developing the classification structure, handling instructions, destruction, and archiving. The authority has initiated a collaboration with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency regarding e-archiving, a prioritized issue for us that offers you the opportunity for development within the e-archiving field.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a relevant higher education or university degree in archival and information science, or another education that Swedish International Trade Council assesses as equivalent.

You have extensive experience working as a registrar in the public sector. Experience as an archivist is considered an advantage. You have experience from the public sector and good knowledge of public access and secrecy legislation as well as archive legislation. The work requires familiarity with case management systems, and we would prefer that you have experience with Public 360°, which Swedish International Trade Council uses.

It is an advantage if you have experience as a Chief Registrar or in a coordinating function, as well as experience in development and change management within information management. Experience with security-classified documents and signals security is also considered an advantage.

You express yourself easily in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

As a person, you are structured and meticulous. You are analytical, have integrity, and good judgment in your work. You also have excellent teamwork skills and a service-oriented approach.

The position is security-classified and requires Swedish citizenship. A security clearance with register check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.

  • Salary: Monthly salary.
  • Employment type: Permanent employment (with probationary period).
  • Duration/Start date: As soon as possible, according to agreement.
  • Working hours: Daytime.
