The Upper Secondary School and Labor Market Administration is responsible for labor market measures, financial assistance, reception of newly arrived refugees and quota refugees, as well as upper secondary school, adult education, and holiday internships.

About the position
Sågbäcksgymnasiet is a municipal upper secondary and adapted upper secondary school in Huddinge Municipality. We educate our students primarily in various vocational programs and introductory programs. We offer you an stimulating workplace with engaged and knowledgeable employees, as well as close cooperation with various industries. We have nicely renovated premises, and students get to develop their practical skills in our well-equipped kitchens and workshops.
As a student assistant at the Adapted Upper Secondary School at Sågbäcksgymnasiet, you work in close cooperation with students and teachers, as well as other staff, to ensure that students are given the best conditions for safety and learning. Your work with students' safety and learning takes place both in the classroom during lesson time and outside lesson time during breaks and lunches.
The specific position involves working closely with one of our students at the adapted upper secondary school to support them in their personal medical situation.
The position is full-time and is a fixed-term employment, with a start date in August 2026 and extending until June 2027.
Who are you?
For this position, you are required to have:
- Upper secondary education
- Experience working in adapted school forms for the age group 14-19 years
- Experience working with students with difficulties within Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF).
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Experience working with young people or adults who need medical support.
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Experience working in healthcare and social care, for example in personal assistance, short-term housing, day activities, or other operations where you have been responsible for others.
- Upper secondary education with a focus on children and leisure or healthcare and social care.
- Education or completed courses within NPF
- Knowledge of and practical experience with clarifying pedagogy and positive behavioral support.
- Possess knowledge and experience in the use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and/or visual aids.
- Training in conversation methodology.
To succeed in the role, it is important that you are a safe, stable, and professional person who is calm and controlled in stressful and pressured situations. You have both interest and ability to cooperate, communicate, and create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are receptive and open to colleagues' thoughts and understand the importance of close cooperation. You also understand that students have different conditions and needs and absorb knowledge in different ways. This means that you also adapt your choice of working methods and tools after each student and group.
Furthermore, you have the ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practice. You can handle many different tasks, working methods, and problems, and you adapt easily to changed circumstances and the needs of the operation and students. You are open to new situations and solutions and have the ability to think anew and creatively. It is important that you are loyal to your workplace and employer. You act in accordance with decisions, goals, and guidelines. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
