One of our teachers is moving to try living in another location, so now is the chance to step into an important and simultaneously very fun assignment. At Ljusterö School, a small archipelago school where nature is always close and everyone knows everyone, you will work with the school's youngest students in a warm and safe environment. We have strong values regarding learning, safety, health, inclusion, and a child rights perspective – and now we are looking for a Preschool-Grade 3 Teacher who wants to give our students a really great start to their school journey and contribute to the school's continued development.

Your new job

In the role of Preschool-Grade 3 Teacher, you help lay the foundation for students' knowledge, social development, and curiosity about the world. You create structure, safety, and study peace, while inviting creativity, playful learning, and the joy of discovery. Here you get to combine traditional methods with modern approaches, and use the schoolyard and archipelago environment as a natural part of the teaching – yes, outdoor lessons can become everyday here.

• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in central subjects for grades Preschool-3 based on the curriculum
• Create clear routines and learning environments that provide peace of mind, study focus, and a positive tone in the classroom
• Use varied working methods, digital tools, and creative methods that support different ways of learning
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, guardians, and the student health team in a solution-focused and respectful approach
• Work actively with a child rights perspective, equal treatment, zero tolerance for bullying, and a safe school environment
• Participate in the school's development work and contribute ideas regarding teaching, learning environments, and individualized support

Your profile

• Teaching certification with eligibility for teaching in grades Preschool-3
• Experience teaching in lower grades
• Confident in classroom leadership and accustomed to meeting different needs in groups with mixed prerequisites
• Good ability to communicate clearly, listen attentively, and respectfully with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Interest in child rights perspective, student influence, and individualized support in daily life
• Comfortable using digital tools in teaching, documentation, and pedagogical communication

Employment conditions

For this role, the starting salary is normally between 39,000 - 43,000 SEK depending on experience and competence. In some cases, more senior candidates may be offered a higher salary within the role's total range.
