Do you want to lay the foundation for students' learning and development? We are now looking for an engaged teacher for preschool class at Viaskolan – a school where we work together to ensure every student succeeds, feels at home, and develops as much as possible.

Job Responsibilities

The position involves working as a teacher in preschool class. We are looking for you who is a clear leader and feels secure in your role as a teacher. You have a strong commitment to students' learning, safety, and future, and your teaching is characterized by high quality. You are a creative, flexible, and engaged teacher who wants to develop the teaching and works to ensure that every student reaches as far as possible in their knowledge and personal development. You value creating a safe learning environment based on mutual respect, and you understand the importance of teaching being both creative and stimulating, while also being grounded in research and proven methods. You are unpretentious, curious, and share your knowledge with others.

You collaborate closely with your colleagues in preschool class, after-school centers, and lower primary school. You also cooperate with guardians, student health services, and other school staff to ensure high quality in the operations. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, analysis, and follow-up of your students' knowledge. You will have engaged colleagues and support from the Student Health Team (SHT) and school leadership.

You are part of the F-3 work team and participate in the collegial work to develop the pedagogical operations at the school. All pedagogues at the school are well aware of the importance of having an F-6 perspective, which we also expect of you. Everyone contributes to a good working climate, and we help and support each other from a holistic perspective. Collaboration with colleagues is a key factor and comes naturally to you.

Your duties include planning, implementing, analyzing, and being responsible for the pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and the students' needs and interests, both individually and together with your colleagues.

About the Workplace

The primary task of the Child and Education Administration is to offer a safe and stimulating learning environment where we equip children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and leisure activities for all residents.

Viaskolan is a three-parallel F-6 school with approximately 540 students and about 70 employees. We are located in a quiet setting in one of Nynäshamn's residential areas. Viaskolan was inaugurated in 1905 and is the municipality's oldest school.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in the role, you have:

• A certified teacher with eligibility to teach in preschool class.
• Knowledge and experience in working with early language, reading, and writing development, such as the Bornholm Model.
• Knowledge of early mathematics teaching.
• Clear, structured, and organized.
• Good didactic and pedagogical ability to lead and organize for a good learning environment.
• High expectations of students and their ability to learn and develop.
• Attentive to each student's conditions and needs.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
• Good ability to use digital tools.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Eligibility in Swedish as a second language.
• Knowledge and experience in language and knowledge-developing work.
