Job Responsibilities

As a native language teacher, you will teach children and young people German as their native language. The teaching takes place outside regular school hours, in the afternoons at one of the municipality's schools.

Your tasks include:

• Planning and conducting teaching according to the curriculum for the subject of native language.
• Assessing students' knowledge against the knowledge goals for the native language subject.
• Working and documenting in our operational systems.

The scope of this position is estimated to be equivalent to approximately 5% of full-time employment.

About the Operations

The Native Language Unit works to support children and students in their learning. Together with other native language teachers, you will drive and develop the operations based on our governing documents and the goals in the curriculum and course plan.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have German as your native language.
• Express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Have post-secondary education.
• Have experience with bilingual teaching.
• Are well acquainted with the governing documents applicable to teaching and can translate these into meaningful learning.

As a person, you are responsible, structured, have a holistic view, and a professional approach. With commitment and the ability to work both independently and in a group, you find solutions to offer teaching to all your students under current conditions.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and teamwork skills. A teaching license is meritorious.

• Individual and differentiated salary setting is applied in Nykvarn Municipality.
• Nykvarn Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it meritorious if you speak Finnish.
• We require a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record and suspicion register) prior to employment.
