At the Management Unit of the Military University College Karlberg, we develop and deliver education in administration and management. We offer both classroom-based and online learning. Our target groups are primarily managers and specialists within the Swedish Armed Forces. We offer you a unique workplace in a castle setting, along with excellent opportunities for training during working hours. You will join a unit consisting of creative and experienced colleagues who truly enjoy working together.
We are now looking for a Course Manager with occupational health and safety expertise to be responsible for the development and implementation of education in this area.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, implement, and evaluate courses, primarily within the occupational health and safety field in the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Teach courses yourself, together with teaching support from the Swedish Armed Forces or external experts.
- Create a cohesive and clear offering of management education for employees and managers of the Swedish Armed Forces, in collaboration with other staff members at the unit.
- Monitor the external environment and drive development and change initiatives, primarily within the occupational health and safety field, but also within the unit's area of operations.
The position involves significant personal responsibility and autonomy in how you plan and carry out your assignments.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- University degree, preferably in the HR field, or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Armed Forces considers equivalent.
- Several years of current experience in training within the occupational health and safety field.
- Several years of experience in operational and strategic work within the occupational health and safety field.
- Knowledge of laws and requirements within the occupational health and safety field.
- Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
Personal Attributes
You have strong pedagogical skills and a genuine interest in learning and education. To succeed in the role of Course Manager, you need to be solution-focused, engaged, and structured. You also have good collaboration skills and a desire to move joint work forward, while being able to work independently and drive processes toward set goals and deadlines.
You will have many contact points, at all levels within the Swedish Armed Forces and with other authorities and actors, which requires good communication skills and a willingness to build good relationships. You also need to have good ability to handle administrative tasks, as this is an important part of the different phases of the course process. As a person, you are unpretentious, see solutions to problems, and work in a service-oriented manner. In pressurized situations, you maintain your calm while being courageous and willing to take a stand.
Great importance will be attached to your personal suitability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in developing and implementing digital learning.
- Education in pedagogy with a focus on adult learning.
- Experience in occupational health and safety management.
- Experience working with occupational health and safety issues within the Swedish Armed Forces.
Other Information
Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the authority.
