In this role, you will play a key part in creating the best conditions for students' learning, development, and future. As a special needs teacher (specialpedagog), you will primarily work with students in need of special support in grades Pre-Kindergarten to Year 3 (F–3) as well as in the school's after-school center. The assignment is varied and developmental, combining student-facing work with strategic and consultative tasks.

In this role, you teach students, mentor and support staff, and contribute to developing the school's work with special support. You are responsible for pedagogical assessments, development plans, and action programs, and collaborate with guardians and external actors to create the best possible conditions for students' development.

You will become part of the school's student health team, along with another special needs teacher, counselors, school nurse, and principal. Together, you will work to promote students' learning and well-being.

As a member of the school's pedagogical leadership group, you will also have an active role in the school's development work. We would appreciate it if you have experience in school development and an interest in driving pedagogical issues forward.

An important part of the assignment is to contribute to safe and well-functioning transitions between different school activities through planning, coordination, and follow-up. You work preventively by identifying areas for development, spreading knowledge about compensatory measures, and supporting both educators and guardians. In this way, you ensure that students receive the right support at an early stage and are given the best possible conditions to succeed.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a qualified special needs teacher with a teaching degree and experience working in primary school grades F–3. You are engaged in students' learning and development and see the value of close collaboration with colleagues, student health services, and school leadership to create an accessible and successful education.

You have good digital competence and are familiar with digital and compensatory aids that support students' learning and participation.

As a person, you are secure and relationship-building, combining a professional approach with sensitivity, creativity, and good teamwork skills. You easily build trusting relationships and communicate well with both guardians and external partners.

You strive to create a positive learning environment to drive the work with students forward together with the school staff and in good communication with guardians.

About Us

The Child and Education Department is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. We work together for a learning environment where children, students, and employees succeed and become their best selves. The department's task is to coordinate, plan, and support the various operations and work for coordination between school and working life.

Söderparkskolan, centrally located in Vinslöv and within walking distance from the railway station, has three classes in each grade F-3. Our approximately 265 students come from Vinslöv town and the surrounding countryside. The school also has an after-school center where students are divided into three units. We offer both students and educators a workplace in beautiful and modernly furnished premises. The school library is a fantastic gathering hall for both the after-school center and the school, staffed by a part-time school librarian. We also have good access to a digital learning environment. Our outdoor environment consists of a newly built schoolyard with many different play areas, as well as green spaces and nature areas near the school.
