Founded in 1978 and located in the scenic area of Hardeberga near Lund, Lunds Waldorf School is now seeking flexible and dedicated substitute teachers for our substitute pool. We offer substitute positions in lower school, middle school, upper school, and after-school care. The school is a non-profit foundation with approximately 170 students in grades F-9 and around 40 employees.

Lunds Waldorf School builds its teaching on the principles of Waldorf pedagogy, where practical creativity, play, and a close relationship with nature encourage student participation, responsibility, and development. Here, you have the opportunity to contribute to a creative and student-centered environment that promotes both theoretical and practical knowledge acquisition.

Job Responsibilities

As a substitute teacher, you will step in as needed in various classes and subjects, from preschool class up to grade 9, as well as in after-school care. You will:

• Be responsible for conducting lessons and activities according to the teacher's planning.
• Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment for the students.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school management to maintain the school's pedagogical vision.

Qualifications

• You must be available for at least one substitute shift per week. If this is not possible, we kindly ask you to refrain from applying.
• No pedagogical education is required, but experience working with children and young people is advantageous.
• You have an interest in contributing to a safe and creative learning environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with both students and colleagues.
• An interest in Waldorf pedagogy is an advantage, but we also welcome those who are curious about our approach.

Employment Conditions

• Hourly employment with needs-based working hours.
• Salary according to collective agreement.
