Youth Ambassador for Vimmerby Municipality

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your new part-time job:

As a Youth Ambassador, you serve as an important link between the municipality's youth and the politicians. The purpose is to increase young people's participation and influence in Vimmerby Municipality. You will work in a team of two ambassadors. Your task will be to find out what young people think about various current issues, write shorter reports, and present the results to the municipality's decision-makers.

The work includes among other things:

• Making school visits and meeting other young people in the municipality.
• Gathering feedback via social media, surveys, and interviews.
• Meeting with and presenting results to politicians in the municipality.
• Serving as a sounding board for the development of other municipal projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who want to make your voice heard and who:

• Was born in 2009 or 2010 and is registered in Vimmerby Municipality.
• Is engaged and has an interest in societal issues.
• Can work independently and take initiative based on given instructions.
• Is comfortable contacting and talking to both other young people and adults.
• Enjoys (or wants to challenge yourself in) speaking in front of others.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.

Support at work: The employment begins with an introduction and training in, among other things, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. You will also have access to a supervisor throughout your employment period.
