About the Individual and Family Administration

The Individual and Family Administration is responsible for measures according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), covering individual and family care and care for persons with disabilities. Citizens in need of social services can receive advice, support, and assistance. In most cases, our assistance and measures are provided after an individual assessment as part of our authority exercise. We aim for the measures we provide to lead to independence.

The operations focus on interventions for children, young people, and their parents, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, persons with disabilities needing support in daily life, persons in need of financial support, labor market measures, rehabilitation, and integration.

The administration is divided into two operations; Care for Persons with Disabilities (Functional Support) and Individual and Family Care (IFO). At IFO, we strive for a systemic theoretical approach where the working method highlights the common administrative responsibility to meet the complex needs of individuals and families with a focus on holistic view and coordination. Internal collaboration plays a key role within IFO as it is a prerequisite for achieving results, given that individuals in families are often involved in different units within the administration simultaneously.

The Role of Social Secretary

IFO Adults is now looking for a Social Secretary to handle financial support cases in our intervention group. Due to the upcoming legal requirement for activity in financial support, the work group will be strengthened by 1.0 full-time equivalent to meet the increased need for authority exercise and coordination with other actors for persons receiving financial support. At IFO Adults, we strive to offer interventions from a salutogenic perspective. The interventions should strengthen the individual's own ability and initiative to influence and change their situation; therefore, the working method is characterized by "help to self-help".

Job Responsibilities

The position is located in the IFO Adults intervention group with a focus on the area of financial support.

In the role of Social Secretary in the intervention group, you will work with interventions to break dependency on social assistance and support the client towards self-sufficiency and independence. Interventions may be directed towards the labor market/studies or towards other permanent benefits. After mapping the individual's life situation, there may be a need for additional interventions to help the person towards independence. As a Social Secretary, you play a vital role in establishing contact/linking such interventions for the individual.

Planning is done jointly with the client, and we actively work with implementation plans to support the individual forward. The assignment includes authority exercise through the handling of financial assistance and drawing up an individual plan for the upcoming activity requirement in financial support. A large part of the work consists of internal and external collaboration to create conditions for a cohesive support for the individual.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work or equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience in authority exercise within financial support. You have good collaboration and communication skills, can express yourself well in speech and writing, are responsible, and can work independently but with support from management. You work effectively and structured under stress, can balance different demands, and keep your cool in difficult situations. You enjoy working in an organization in development and change where collaboration with other actors is a natural prerequisite for success. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

It is a requirement to have work experience and professional experience, as well as a Category B driver's license.
