About the Department

The Individual and Family Care in Mönsterås Municipality consists of four units: The Child and Youth Unit, The Treatment Unit, The Adult Unit, and the Assistance Unit.

The Child and Youth Unit consists of eleven case officers working with children and young people aged 0–21 and their families, as well as two case officers working with foster homes. The unit is divided into three teams: The Intake Team, The Investigation Team, and The Placement Team.

We are now looking for a Social Secretary for the Investigation Team. The team consists of six social secretaries who handle child and youth cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Special Provisions on Care of Young Persons (LVU).

The Child and Youth Unit has a unit manager who leads and distributes the work. The unit manager is also available for support and guidance in everyday work.

Job Responsibilities

The work within Individual and Family Care is important and varied. As a social secretary in the Child and Youth Unit's investigation team, you will be responsible for investigations of children, young people, and their families, as well as responsible for decisions and follow-up of outpatient interventions.

You handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Special Provisions on Care of Young Persons (LVU).

You are responsible, based on delegation, for legally secure case handling and decisions in individual cases, as well as ensuring established routines are followed. We work according to BBIC and document in Lifecare. The goal is to conduct high-quality social work built on evidence, continuity, participation, and a holistic view.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a social worker (socionom) or have another academic education validated to correspond to a social work degree.
  • Have a good ability to understand people's varying living conditions and meet them with respect and sensitivity.
  • Are an empathetic, secure person with personal maturity, good collaboration skills, and contribute to a good work climate.
  • Are responsible and have the ability to work in a structured and independent manner.
  • Are familiar with the Social Services Act, LVU legislation, and public authority operations.
  • Express yourself well in speech and writing.
  • Find it easy to motivate people to change and act from a salutogenic approach.
  • Find it stimulating to work in a small municipality with proximity in collaboration and to decision-makers.

It is an advantage if you have experience with BBIC and Lifecare. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Experience in public authority operations is an advantage. A driver's license is required!

We want you to show an extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register prior to a potential employment.
