Due to parental leave, the Family Unit is seeking a substitute therapist for the social services' outpatient care, providing interventions for children, parents, and families.

As a therapist, you will work with implementing decisions assessed for assistance, as well as providing counseling and support directly based on the individual's requests. The work involves developing and strengthening parenting skills, as well as supporting families, parents, and children in social and relational change work. The target group is parents and families with children aged 0–18.

The work is carried out both through conversations and counseling at the facility's premises and through visits to individuals' homes and daily lives. The profession uses both interaction and attachment methodologies regarding parenthood, methods aimed at youth with substance abuse issues, support and help for adults and children exposed to violence, as well as methods for relationship patterns, conflicts, etc.

You will be part of the unit's treatment group, which consists of 12 employees led by a coordinator. The work includes daily supervision, external guidance, and good opportunities for further education over time.

The position includes ongoing documentation in the provider's journal, creating implementation plans, managing the time booking system, and similar administration. The role also involves collaboration with other social services operations, as well as preschools, primary and secondary schools, and the region's health and care units.

You must be educated as a social worker from a university or university college. If you have a different education, it may be considered equivalent when combined with relevant professional experience.

To succeed in the role, you need experience in social work with children, parents, and families. You should also have good knowledge and understanding of the Social Services Act, as well as the social services' mission and role in society.

It is meritorious if you have education and experience in therapeutic work, as well as a good understanding of its processes, and knowledge of interaction and attachment theory. Experience working with domestic violence is also an advantage, as is competence in the treatment method FFT (Functional Family Therapy) and experience leading groups within ABC (All Children in Focus).

A valid B-driver's license is required for the position.
