Job Description

As an employee, you play a significant role in our shared goal of providing the best possible service and care to our users. We hold regular workplace meetings and collaborate with other actors both within and outside the operational area.

The work is based on the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), meaning we meet the user's basic needs through support and assistance to ensure good living conditions. The person's needs and how interventions are carried out are described in an implementation plan. In addition to daily work with the user, the role includes documentation in our system, LifeCare, as well as performing health and medical tasks as delegated by the responsible nurse.

As an employee, you actively and regularly participate in information on the municipality's intranet and via your work email. The position includes competence development through "Yrkesresan" (The Career Journey), which is a structured approach for induction and long-term competence development.

The Role

The job involves working in the user's home, accompanying them to activities, and assisting with travel to and from day activities. Bathing and horse riding occur regularly, where you may participate and support the user. Cooking, cleaning/laundry, shopping, and personal hygiene are clear daily tasks.

You will be part of a work group of four people in total, but you will usually work alone with the user. You follow established routines designed to meet the user's need for structure, predictability, and security. You, along with your colleagues, are responsible for making bookings and orders (e.g., for consumables or dental appointments). You contribute your own ideas and reflections to ensure the operation maintains good quality and develops. You have a salutogenic approach based on the user's needs and self-determination.

We place great emphasis on social competence and personal suitability. Personal chemistry is a prerequisite, which is why a visit to the user may be part of the recruitment process. 6-month probationary period.

Working hours are distributed between days, evenings/nights, and weekends with on-call duty (sleeping on call).

Qualifications

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • Education in the Care and Nursing program or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Valid Category B driver's license
  • Experience working with users with autism and intellectual disability (IF) is considered meritorious
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

Furthermore, we appreciate that you have good cooperation skills and can work well with others by being attentive and communicating in an open and constructive manner.

The position is subject to ID checks and register checks.

  • As an applicant, you must present a valid passport, national ID card, or personal certificate before employment begins.
  • As an applicant, you must show a certificate of no objections from the police's criminal record register. Note that it takes about two weeks to obtain the certificate, so order it in good time.
