About the client

We are looking for a personal assistant for a man in his 50s who lives alone in Kalmar and has extensive care needs. The client has cerebral palsy, autism, OCD, and a mild intellectual disability.

The work is performed where the client is, primarily at home. The client spends a lot of time in his workshop where he carpenters and tinkers – therefore, it is meritorious if you have an interest in cars or enjoy practical work. The client bathes once a week, which means you need to be able to swim.

About you

We would appreciate it if you have experience working as a personal assistant or in similar professions. You need to be fearless, patient, and have a strong desire to create security and continuity. It may take time for the client to get used to new people, so you should be stable, reliable, and have the ability to take initiative.

As a person, you are social, cheerful, empathetic, and warm. You easily connect with others and can adapt to the client's daily mood and needs. The client may initially be cautious, so it is an advantage if you are understanding and flexible.

About the employment

Relief staff as needed. The client has 24/7 assistance with 9 hours of on-call duty per shift. You need to be able to work overnight shifts and preferably be available to step in with short notice.
