Now is your chance to become a substitute assistant, primarily during the day, but also evenings and awake nights! The client requires assistance seven days a week, and we are looking for the next puzzle piece to work as needed when regular staff is absent.

About the client:

The client is a young man, born in 2006, who lives with his family approximately 1.5 miles outside of Kalmar. He requires active supervision and has significant care needs around the clock, partly due to epilepsy and an irregular sleep pattern. The client does not have the ability to communicate verbally, but through a strong presence visible in his body language, facial expressions, and mimics, he clearly shows when he is happy, angry, or sad. He recognizes faces and voices, despite having reduced vision and hearing. At school and at home, he is actively involved, using aids such as pictures and symbols to reinforce behavior and communication.

The client needs help with all basic needs and in ADL (Activities of Daily Living) situations, such as feeding (nutrition provided via PEG button), medication, transfers, all hygiene situations, dressing and undressing, toilet visits, etc.

The goal is for the client to manage daily life as best as possible given his conditions. To maintain his skills, the client needs communication, continuous stimulation, training, and activation, both physically and socially. As an assistant, you will be involved in all these contexts.

About you:

We would prefer that you have previous experience working as a personal assistant, or alternatively, other experience in care and social services with children, or that you are studying in the field. You retain a childlike heart, you are happy, positive, and forward-looking. Commitment and a sense of responsibility are other important qualities. You need to have social competence and be talkative, as conversation is an important part of the client's personal development. You must also be able to remain calm and stable in critical situations.

Personal suitability is highly valued. You must be at least 18 years old.

Specific requirements:

Valid driver's license, non-smoker. Pets with fur are present in the home.
