About the client

The client is a happy and curious man in his 30s diagnosed with low-level infantile autism. He enjoys long walks, listening to music, and social activities such as having coffee or visiting restaurants. Due to his diagnosis, he has communication difficulties. While he understands spoken language, he does not have his own speech and communicates through sounds and physical contact.

Job Description

As an assistant, you are expected to accompany the client on the activities he wishes to do, and guide him when necessary. Your role is to activate and stimulate him based on his needs and abilities. You should be attentive, creative, and skilled at reading the client's signals.

You will provide support in various situations, such as during meals, hygiene routines (showering and toilet visits), and dressing/undressing.

We work as a team, where flexibility and a cooperative spirit are essential qualities.

Your Background

We prefer candidates with previous experience as a personal assistant, or other experience within healthcare and social services. Experience working with children or adults with autism is a plus. Personal suitability is, however, the most important factor. You must be at least 18 years old.

About the Employment

We are looking for a temporary substitute on an as-needed basis, as well as someone who can help during the summer when regular staff are on leave. The shifts are scheduled as 24-hour shifts with double staffing around the clock, meaning there is waiting time between shifts.
