WORK ASSIGNMENTS

We are looking for a family therapist with competence and experience in working with children, young people, and families, as well as domestic violence, to join the Child and Family Unit, Family Team, which is the social services' outpatient care.

The Family Team primarily works with family therapy for the municipality's children, young people, and families. The work involves, for example, parental support/family work in various forms, individual conversations, assessments, observations, and social interaction. The operations also include collaborative meetings, support in cases of domestic violence, coordination, and implementation of youth service and youth care.

The family therapists primarily target families with children and young people aged 0-18. The work is based on the parents' ability to meet the child's needs. The interventions aim to strengthen protective factors and reduce risk factors surrounding the child or young person.

In the work, it is important to be able to start from the family's own resources and to work together with the children, young people, parents, and other network members to meet the children's and young people's need for support. The nature of the assignment dictates how one plans and schedules the work, which implies a high degree of flexibility. The work also involves close collaboration with social secretaries and other important contacts regarding the child and the family. You finalize the implementation plan and document your work through the documentation system Lifecare. The work is regulated by several legislations such as the Social Services Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Parental Code, etc.

The Family Team is part of the Child and Family Unit and currently consists of 9 employees led by a unit manager. The Family Team is located in its own premises on Rönnbärsgatan in Vimmerby.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker, social pedagogue with 180 ECTS, or another university education that the employer considers equivalent. A B-driver's license with a manual gearbox is a requirement.

At the same time, it is also important that you are flexible, loyal, and relationship-building, and that you have good cooperation skills but are also secure in working independently. You are structured and have a good ability to plan and carry out your work in an efficient and legally secure manner. You are engaged and interested in the area of operations, and have the will and ability to take responsibility for the whole of the operations and an interest in method and operational development. You also communicate clearly in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have experience of similar work. It is also meritorious if you have knowledge of different treatment methods and assessment instruments.
