About the client

He is a happy and curious man in his 30s diagnosed with low-level infantile autism. He enjoys taking long walks, listening to music, and participating in social activities such as café visits and dining out. Due to his diagnosis, he has communication difficulties. He understands spoken language but does not speak himself. He communicates through sounds and physical contact.

Job Description

As an assistant, you are expected to accompany the client on activities he wishes to do, and guide him when necessary. You are expected to activate and stimulate the client based on his needs and abilities. You need to be attentive, creative, and skilled at reading the client's signals.

As an assistant, you provide support to the client in various situations, including mealtimes, hygiene routines during showering and toilet visits, and assistance with dressing and undressing.

We work as a team, so it is important to be flexible and cooperative.

Your Background

We prefer candidates with previous experience working as a personal assistant, or other experience within healthcare and social care, or currently studying in the field. Experience working with children or adults with autism is an advantage. Personal suitability is highly valued. You must be at least 18 years old.

About the Employment:

We are looking for a substitute on an as-needed basis, as well as someone who can help out during the summer when regular staff are on leave. Shifts are scheduled as 24-hour shifts with double staffing around the clock.
