Mejeriet UNG is an established meeting place for young people aged 13 to 19 in central Västervik. Here, young people have the opportunity to meet, develop their interests, carry out their own ideas, and be part of a safe community. The activity is run by an engaged and experienced team that together creates a vibrant and inclusive meeting place.

We are now looking for a youth leader at 50% who wants to develop the activity together with us.

As a youth leader at Mejeriet UNG, you are a present and secure adult who builds relationships with young people and contributes to creating a positive and inclusive environment.

Together with colleagues and young people, you plan, implement, and develop activities based on young people's needs, ideas, and interests. You encourage participation and help young people realize their own initiatives and projects.

The position also includes:

• work in the Dairy's café operations

• reception and service to visitors and tenants in the building

• collaboration with associations and other actors working for and with young people

• participation in communication and social media

We are particularly interested in you who want to use culture as a tool in working with young people. By creating meetings between the youth activity and the cultural house's other operations, you can contribute to developing new activities, projects, and events where young people have the opportunity to express themselves, create, and grow.

With us, you become part of a creative, engaged, and professional team where the young people's participation is central. You get the opportunity to develop your own ideas, influence the activity, and help make a difference in young people's daily lives.

We would like you to have a youth leader education or other education and experience that the employer considers relevant for the assignment. Experience working with young people is meritorious.

If you do not yet have a youth leader education but have the right experience and personal qualities, you are still welcome to apply. For the right person, there is an opportunity to combine the position with a distance youth leader education through an external education provider.

We are looking for you who have a genuine commitment to young people and their development. You are initiative-taking, relationship-building, and secure in your meetings with people. You enjoy collaborating but can also take individual responsibility and drive activities forward.

You may have experience or interest in, for example, music, performing arts, dance, film, media, art, events, or other creative creation.

We also view positively experiences within movement, outdoor life, or alternative sports that can contribute to a broad and varied activity offering for our young people.

We believe that different experiences, perspectives, and language skills strengthen the activity and therefore welcome applicants with varying backgrounds and life experiences. If you have knowledge of languages other than Swedish and English, this is also meritorious.

The employment is subject to a register check. You need to produce an extract from the police's criminal record register before employment can take place.
