About the Role

The Payroll Service consists of 13 payroll consultants who work in teams handling all registrations and controls to ensure that the correct salary is paid to all employees within Region Västernorrland. We are constantly working to develop and improve our payroll processes to provide the best possible support and service to the organization.

We have bright and pleasant offices in Örnsköldsvik in a building called Skeppet, located behind the hospital. To the Payroll Service, we are looking for a Payroll Consultant based in Örnsköldsvik. The position is a full-time temporary assignment, with a start date of 2026-09-01 and an end date of 2027-08-31.

Responsibilities

As a Payroll Consultant at Region Västernorrland, you have an important role! You will have close contact with managers within your area of responsibility, consisting of several operations, and support them in payroll registration and questions related to the payroll area. You are part of the payroll service telephone support for employees and answer questions.

Other tasks you will perform include:

• Checking data in the payroll system
• Corrections in the payroll system
• Checking submitted documentation
• Registration of manual documentation
• Support and assistance to employees within the region.
• Training/support for new managers
• Participate in various working groups for business development
• Issue various certificates regarding salary and employment

You will receive an introduction from the permanent payroll consultant, where you will gradually take over tasks and learn the payroll system and routines in daily payroll work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Have a satisfactory upper secondary education
• Have good computer skills and good knowledge of Word and Excel
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is an advantage if you

• Are trained as a payroll specialist, economist, or have another equivalent education
• Have experience in payroll or economic work
• Have experience working with the personnel system Heroma or another payroll system
