The Special Helicopter Group (SHG) is a special operations unit within the Swedish Armed Forces' Special Operations Forces system (FMSF) at the Helicopter Wing in Linköping. SHG's primary tasks are tactical transport, intelligence gathering, and air support. Like other units within the FMSF, SHG places high demands on the availability of specially selected personnel, with extensive operational experience and a high level of education and competence.
About the position
The S46 section at SHG headquarters is looking for a Signals Security Officer! We in the headquarters support the command of the unit by ensuring that the right conditions exist regarding IT, signals security, telephony, infrastructure IT/telecom, and command support systems.
Main responsibilities
As Signals Security Officer, you work under the Section Chief S46. You are functionally responsible for the signals security service at SHG. You lead, coordinate, and administer the signals security service, including:
- Daily administration such as handling cases and inquiries
- Responsibility for and driving activities and projects within signals security; materiel, training, inspections, and distribution
- Responsibility for, together with the unit's signals security trained personnel, programming and loading existing updates and re-installations in signals security systems
- Maintaining and revising, as necessary, the unit's local routines and instructions, as well as other essential documentation for the operations
- Training personnel in signals security and signals security systems
- Coordinating the unit's annual inventory regarding signals security
- Participating in training and meetings related to the position; travel occurs
- Functional leadership and support for the development of, and cooperation with, the Helicopter Wing's Signals Security Expedition
- Participating in exercises in a working group for a headquarters and communications expedition
- Driving the development of tasks within NATO COMSEC within SHG
- The position may also include support to the unit's Security Officer with handling and administration regarding operational and security protection, as well as other tasks within the headquarters and the unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a three-year upper secondary education with eligibility for higher education
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- Category B driver's license
- Good knowledge of the MS Office package
MERITORIOUS
- Trained FM Signals Security Officer from the Total Defence Signals Security School (TSS)
- Civil Signals Security Officer according to TSS training plan
- Trained crypto custodian
- Trained key and card administrator and systems such as ISUS
- Trained in FM basic security protection and basic signals security
- Trained as a system operator in FM existing signals security systems
- Previous employment in the Swedish Armed Forces, or completed conscription

You are security-conscious and can handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. You can work independently and propose new solutions within given frameworks and regulations when you encounter challenges in your work. You communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, managers, and external parties in writing and speech.
