Job Description

In your role as an experienced statistician, you will play an important part in our work to develop, quality-assure, and conduct statistical analyses to support decision-makers and the development of our healthcare. You will work in close collaboration with other statisticians, business analysts, business representatives, and commissioning bodies within the organization.

Examples of tasks:

  • Plan and conduct statistical analyses to support decision-making.
  • Data management, producing descriptive statistics and visualizations.
  • Quality-assure data and analysis processes.
  • Provide support in survey methodology.
  • Provide methodological support in the field of statistics and analysis.
  • Participate in development projects and cross-functional collaborations.

Work Group

The Data and Analysis Unit has approximately 40 employees with a main focus on driving and supporting the region's work regarding information management, production development, follow-up, statistics, and analysis.

You will primarily work in a group with three other statisticians, but also with others within the unit who work with data availability, visualization, and analysis. You work towards different parts of the organization's operations and in many cases in close collaboration with commissioning bodies and business representatives.

About You

We are looking for you who have a university education in statistics. It is meritorious if you also have education or experience in public health and/or the healthcare sector.

You have several years of experience in qualified work as a statistician, preferably within the public sector.

You have good knowledge of statistical analysis methods, in SPSS or equivalent statistical tools, as well as meritorious knowledge in R and Power BI. Experience of working with register data, survey studies, and/or large datasets is meritorious.

The position is a fixed-term vacancy for 6 months with the possibility of extension if needed.
