Tenant & Partner is a consultancy firm representing commercial tenants in all matters related to their use of premises. Several of Sweden's largest companies are among our clients.

Our real estate consultants specialize in various areas: workplace strategy, tenant advisory, legal matters, project management, and change management. Always with a common focus – creating value and business benefits for the client. We take a holistic approach to workplace issues where law is a central part, but business, strategy, and implementation are equally crucial.

We are now looking for you who are a lawyer, want to work close to business – and who also thrives in a consultancy role.

About the role

This is not a traditional lawyer role. You still work with qualified rental law, but you do it as an integrated part of our client projects. You are involved throughout the entire process: from analysis and strategy to negotiation and implementation. In this role, you will:

• Work in projects together with real estate consultants, project managers, and workplace strategists.
• Participate in dialogues with clients and contribute to holistic solutions, not just legal answers. Sometimes you also have ultimate client responsibility.
• Negotiate and review lease agreements.
• Be a support in business decisions where law is part of larger trade-offs.
• Manage the process regarding terminations and referrals of lease agreements.
• In certain assignments, take a more consultancy-oriented role, for example by:
  • Participating in lease negotiations.
  • Contributing to space strategies and analyses.
  • Having dialogues with property owners and other external parties.
• Represent clients in the Rent Tribunal and courts when necessary (though this does not happen very often).
• Conduct training in rental law for both external and internal participants.

You will become part of a team where we are four lawyers who together are responsible for developing business, building relationships, and delivering high-quality projects.

We are looking for you who

• Have a law degree and a few years of relevant work experience in rental law.
• Have a clear commercial drive and an interest in business and real estate.
• Enjoy working close to clients and contributing to both legal and business-related issues.
• Thrive in a consultancy role where assignments vary and where you like to take own responsibility.
• Have a good ability to drive and complete assignments independently.

It is an advantage if you also have litigation experience and experience of contract law or planning and building law.

To succeed in the role, you need to be curious, solution-oriented, and confident in working in the borderland between law and business.
