Your responsibilities

As a Material Coordinator, you play a central role in ensuring material availability and delivery precision to production. You are responsible for monitoring material flows and delivery forecasts, acting as a key link between production, planning, purchasing, and other internal functions.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Prioritize routing and materials based on the needs of the business and customers.
• Monitor and communicate material status and delivery forecasts to production management and internal customers.
• Identify and flag critical items in the business system (IFS/Sharp) to ensure swift handling.
• Initiate, drive, and follow up on actions regarding delivery deviations or material shortages, especially for critical items.
• Set requirements for internal production, purchasing, quality, and production engineering in case of disruptions, late deliveries, returns, or quality deviations.
• Produce analyses and statistics regarding material shortages and deviations to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Work proactively to reduce shortage situations and create stable material flows.
• Collaborate closely with production managers, planning, and purchasing to ensure correct priorities and on-time delivery.
• Ensure that planning data in the business systems is accurate and up-to-date to enable effective decision-making.

Your profile To thrive and succeed in the role of Material Coordinator, we believe you are a structured person who enjoys a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly. You have the ability to see the big picture in material flows and production processes and enjoy working with multiple parallel tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

We believe you have:

• Experience from manufacturing industry and a good understanding of production and material flows.
• Education in logistics, planning, or purchasing, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience working in business systems, preferably IFS or similar.
• Good knowledge of Excel.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

To succeed in the role, we also see that you are self-motivated, proactive, and confident in making decisions when the situation demands it. You have the ability to drive issues forward, set requirements with other functions, and follow up that actions are implemented.

The position requires you to undergo and pass security clearance according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.

Application process The assignment will initially be a consultancy role with employment through us at Skill. The duration of the assignment may vary but usually ranges between 6–12 months.
