Job Description

We are currently looking for an engaged and hands-on Control Systems Engineer for an assignment with Siemens Energy in Finspång, who will lead and support the development and maintenance of control systems for medium-sized gas turbines.
In this role, you will develop and maintain software applications that ensure products meet market requirements. The role involves close collaboration with other departments and designers to integrate the control systems into the overall design of the gas turbines.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will have a direct impact on the performance and functionality of the products and their development. Your main responsibilities will be to drive development forward as part of a team responsible for the development and maintenance of software applications for gas turbine control systems.
You will have technical ownership and responsibility in development projects and have experience with configuration and programming, including control logic, sequences, interlocks, HMI/OS screens, alarms, and reports. You will participate in the implementation of change and configuration management, version control, and testing.
The role includes integrating subsystems and handling field instruments and communication via industrial protocols, such as Profibus/Profinet, Modbus, TCP, and OPC. You will contribute to developing working methods, processes, and methods to achieve desirable results that align with market requirements. It is crucial to be meticulous and structured, following industry standards regarding safety, quality, and cybersecurity.
Qualifications

We are looking for someone with long and broad experience in automation and control technology, as well as a strong interest and passion for new technology and the ability to apply existing technology in new contexts. You have a good understanding of technical documentation and are accustomed to reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
Additional qualifications that are a plus:
- Modeling and simulation in Matlab or similar tools.
- Functional Safety (SIL).
- Cybersecurity.
- System networks and VMware.
