Project Economist for ESF Project

Do you want to contribute to an important project that strengthens the future of small craft businesses? The Hantverksakademin (Craft Academy) is looking for a meticulous, structured, and analytical Project Economist for a multi-year ESF-funded project focused on competence development for small craft businesses in the Stockholm region.

The project targets small business owners, sole proprietors, and micro-enterprises, covering areas such as digital visibility, marketing, business development, sales, pricing, financial management, and sustainable entrepreneurship. The project is built on short and flexible educational initiatives, workshops, micro-modules, mentorship, and networking.

The position is 20% FTE over a period of 25 months.

As part of our project team, you will:

  • be responsible for financial monitoring within the project
  • track budgets and costs
  • compile documentation for reimbursement claims
  • provide support in financial reporting
  • ensure quality assurance of the project's reporting
  • ensure that financial documentation is accurate and traceable
  • work closely with the project manager and the rest of the project team

Competence Requirements

  • Experience with project reporting, financial monitoring, or similar economic administrative work.
  • Good understanding of budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working systematically with financial documentation and records.
  • Good IT/system proficiency.
  • Very high attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Experience with ESF projects, EU funding, public funding, or other grant-funded activities.
  • Experience with reimbursement claims and financial reporting to external funders.
  • Experience with projects involving participant reporting, timesheets, or co-financing.
  • Experience working with Fortnox.

About Hantverksakademin

Hantverksakademin is a university college that educates within specialized craft professions. The purpose of this implementation project is to develop the competencies of small craft business owners in the Stockholm area.

This project offers you the opportunity to contribute financial structure and quality assurance to a practical, operationally close, and meaningful development effort.

Scope and Employment Period

The position is 20% FTE and is fixed-term for the duration of the project.

Start date: as agreed.

Employment period: approximately 25 months.

Location: Stockholm, with possibilities for some flexible work. Some meetings take place on-site at Hantverksakademin, Medborgarplatsen.
