The Over Guardianship Unit works on behalf of the Over Guardianship Board – a municipal supervisory authority with an important societal mission. Our task is to ensure that people who need support due to illness, disability, or similar circumstances have their rights upheld and do not risk being disadvantaged economically or legally. The operations are regulated by the Parental Code and are characterized by legal certainty, quality, and professional handling.

The Over Guardianship Unit in the Umeå Region (ÖFUR) is the administrative, preparatory, and executive organization for over guardianships in the municipalities of Umeå, Bjurholm, Nordmaling, Robertsfors, Vindeln, Vännäs, and Örnsköldsvik. The unit has offices in Umeå and Örnsköldsvik.

We are now looking for a case worker to be based at the office in Örnsköldsvik!

Your Responsibilities

As a case worker at the Over Guardianship Unit, you work with qualified public authority tasks. Your assignment is to ensure that guardians, administrators, and guardians fulfill their duties according to current legislation and that the individual's rights are upheld.

The work as a case worker at the Over Guardianship Unit includes, among other things:

• Process cases regarding guardianship, administration, and guardianship
• Investigate and make decisions according to delegation
• Investigate and prepare cases for board decisions
• Prepare statements for courts and other authorities
• Review the administration of representatives and take supervisory measures if necessary
• Provide support, guidance, and training to representatives
• Communicate with principals, relatives, social services, healthcare, banks, and other collaboration partners
• Participate in the development and quality assurance of the unit's processes and routines

About You

We are looking for someone who thrives in a business where the pace is sometimes high and the workday varies. You work independently, take responsibility for your cases, and have the ability to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment. You are structured and have an easy time planning and prioritizing your work, while also being flexible when new tasks and changed conditions arise. Since several cases often run in parallel, you need to feel confident handling many processes simultaneously and following them over time. You have a good ability to adapt to the unit's needs and thrive in a role where no day is like the other.

Requirements

• University degree in law, economics, social work, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent
• Several years of work experience in qualified public authority tasks within municipal or state operations
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

It is meritorious if you have experience from previous work within the Over Guardianship business or if you have previous experience of practical work with law application or other supervisory activities.
