At Adult Education in Borås, we work to give adult students the best opportunities to achieve their goals, whether it involves changing career paths, strengthening their knowledge, or preparing for further studies. We offer a wide range of educational programs, including Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), Komvux (Adult Education Service) as adapted education, basic-level courses, upper-secondary level subjects, and vocational training. Our education is led by our competent educators, supported by a resource team of special needs pedagogues and counselors. As an employee, you will become an important part of an engaged collegium where we together create meaningful teaching and conditions for lifelong learning.

The Swedish for Immigrants education has approximately 700 students, study paths 1-3, courses A-D. The education is delivered with great flexibility - daytime courses, evening courses, distance learning, in open preschools, or in our flexible learning center. The operations are conducted in modern, purpose-built premises at Fabriksgatan 12 in central Borås, near Södra Torget. Read more about Adult Education on our homepage.

You will work as an SFI teacher in one or two of our groups during daytime. The responsibilities include standard teacher duties such as planning, conducting, and following up on teaching, monitoring student knowledge, and improvement work within the collegium.

• You are qualified and certified as an SFI teacher, meaning you are a certified teacher for primary and/or upper secondary school and have at least 30 credits in Swedish as a Second Language.
• You are engaged and base your work on individual needs, have patience, and possess excellent collaboration skills.
• You are flexible and easily adapt to changes and take on new tasks when conditions change.
• You are kind, outgoing, creative, and solution-focused.
• We would appreciate if you have previous experience teaching adults, as well as experience and interest in literacy acquisition.
