Do you want to contribute to a world free from the sexual exploitation of children?
We are looking for an Investigator for Ecpat Hotline.
In the role of Investigator, you will play a key part in our work to analyze, identify, and contribute to the removal of child sexual abuse material, as well as propose and implement measures to counter sexual abuse against children.
Ecpat Sweden is a children's rights organization working against the sexual exploitation of children. We do this by spreading knowledge about the crime and working preventively so that children and young people are not subjected to it. We engage in opinion-forming and advocacy work towards decision-makers, and collaborate with authorities, companies, and other organizations both nationally and internationally.
We also run three operational activities with direct contact with children, young people, and the general public. Ecpat Hotline is a web-based tip line where the public can report suspected sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of children. 'Your Ecpat' is a support line and reporting platform for children and young people who are themselves victims or concerned about something. 'Ecpat Adult Support' is a support line for parents, guardians, and other adults close to children who need advice and guidance.
Your main responsibilities:
In the role of Investigator at Ecpat Hotline, you will work operationally to receive, analyze, and assess tips regarding suspected child sexual abuse material. The work involves handling tips from the public via our web-based tip line, tips from other hotlines within our international network, and work within Project Arachnid. In the hotline team, everyone has specific areas of responsibility. In your role, you will be responsible for the team's contacts with the Swedish Police and other national authorities and companies. Together with other analysts, you will be part of Ecpat's hotline team and report to the Head of Ecpat Hotline. Ecpat provides relevant training required for hotline work, including introduction to working methods, tools, and routines, as well as ongoing competence development and supervision.
Your duties include:
- Working operationally as an Investigator at Ecpat Hotline.
- Documentation, follow-up, and budgeting.
- Gathering, analyzing, and processing new knowledge in the field.
- Driving projects related to the justice system and Ecpat's Finance Coalition.
- Proposing measures to counter the occurrence of sexual abuse against children.
- Contributing expert knowledge in all matters relevant to the organization.
- Preparing materials for advocacy efforts or media appearances for the organization's spokespersons.
- Conducting lectures, organizing meetings and seminars for relevant target groups, and participating in networks arranged by others.
- Contributing content to our corporate collaborations.
Who are you?
You are flexible and want to work operationally at Ecpat Hotline. You have good analytical skills, work in a structured and careful manner, and have good experience with documentation and follow-up according to budget.
You are confident in yourself and accustomed to working professionally with a difficult and complex subject area, with the ability to set boundaries and seek support. You are also easy to engage and contribute to the team's common goals and results. You take great personal responsibility, are aware of integrity, and respect confidentiality and regulations. You have a natural commitment to developing both yourself and the operations. You thrive as part of a team but also when working independently. You are receptive, unpretentious, and have good self-insight.

- Education in law, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or other education deemed relevant, e.g., police training.
