We are looking for a solution-oriented receiving inspector who wants to be a key part of ensuring the quality of products that are crucial for people's safety. Our function verifies compliance for all articles to our production line in Järfälla.

In this role, you will work administratively but also practically when needed, for example during counter-control measurements where a large part of the work involves reviewing our manufacturers' supporting documentation. The role involves verifying that a purchased article meets the specified requirements. The scope of control can vary from a few control points to more extensive First Article Inspection (FAI), which is always present for self-designed articles. Traceability is an important part of the work, and if you see yourself as a problem solver who is passionate about quality and wants to make the world a little safer - then you have the right drive to thrive and succeed with us. The work requires attention to detail, endurance, and good communication skills both verbally and in writing. Deviation handling is a natural part of the daily work, and you have a close dialogue with buyers, planners, quality engineers, designers, production technicians, and as needed - suppliers.

Examples of tasks

• Perform requirement-verifying receiving inspections on incoming articles
• Perform control measurements (instrument-based depending on requirement level) or in-depth visual inspections as needed, e.g., using a microscope
• Document control results and deviations, initiate and participate in deviation meetings
• Actively contribute to improvements of work processes and instructions
• Collaborate with internal functions and external suppliers

Your profile

To thrive in the role of receiving inspector, we see that you are meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious. You are accustomed to reading drawings and understanding tolerance requirements. As a person, you are cooperative, self-initiative, and driven by improving processes and products. You question what does not fit and work purposefully towards a safe and efficient operation. We also see that you may have built up relevant adjacent competence and have a genuine interest in quality work. Perhaps you have experience from manufacturing/assembly, testing, or design and want to develop further within the quality area.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving inspection and quality control, preferably in industrial manufacturing.
• Understanding of technical drawings, form and position tolerances, and experience working according to international standards (ISO, EN9100)
• Advantageous with experience from other types of industrial standards, e.g., IPC 600, 610, 620
• Good documentation habits and experience working in business systems
• Studied at university or college level in mechanics or has obtained equivalent experience through practical work (e.g., CNC, measuring machine)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
