This is your assignment

As an analyst at the Swedish Security Service, you are part of a group of competent and dedicated employees, regardless of operational area and analysis level. You work independently and together with your colleagues to analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and protected values within the agency's areas of operation.

You collect, structure, and analyze quantitative and qualitative information from various types of sources. With sometimes short timeframes and occasionally incomplete data, you provide decision support for the direction of the Swedish Security Service's operational work. You communicate your analyses in writing or orally in various contexts to recipients such as unit management, agency management, and our external collaboration partners.

The role involves participating in method and operational development work within information management and intelligence analysis, which is continuously conducted at the agency.

This recruitment concerns analysts for tactical analysis within counter-terrorism and constitutional protection, tactical analysis within counter-espionage, tactical analysis within security protection, tactical analysis within personal protection, as well as strategic analysis within all operational areas.

Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna, and the work is performed on-site, meaning you do not have the option to work remotely. Travel within and outside Sweden may occur.

Working hours are scheduled during office hours, and flexible working time agreements apply. Work during evenings and weekends may occur during limited periods.

These are the qualifications we are looking for in you

Only those who meet the requirements below will be considered for the position.

Requirements:

• University degree, police degree, or other education deemed equivalent by the Swedish Security Service
• At least two years of work experience in analytical work
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• Good ability to communicate verbally in English

The position requires Swedish citizenship.

Applicants may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with any or several of the following, it is meritorious:

• Experience in work regarding threats, vulnerabilities, and protected values
• Experience in analysis work related to law enforcement, intelligence operations, total defense, crisis preparedness, or cybersecurity issues
• Other competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives, for example from behavioral science, economics, or history
• Good knowledge and experience in processing and visualizing information
• Experience in method and development work
• Language skills beyond Swedish and English

Terms of employment and benefits

Employment at the Swedish Security Service involves placement in a security clearance class that requires Swedish citizenship. For employment, a passed result in the security investigation with register check is also required, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

This is a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment includes an obligation to be placed in wartime duties.
