About the job as a personal assistant

As a personal assistant, you work closely with a person with a disability in their daily life. You assist and support the person both in everyday life and during leisure time. Your workplace is wherever the customer is, and your tasks generally involve assisting the customer so that they have the conditions to live the life they desire.

Responsibilities

Your tasks depend on the customer's needs and lifestyle. They can range from personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, household chores, cooking, to assisting the customer at work or during activities outside the home. The customer leads an active life and has a great interest in their dogs, which she trains and competes with. Therefore, the role involves many walks and outdoor stays in varying weather conditions.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for you who are responsible, perceptive, and quick to learn new tasks. At Särnmark, you will always receive an introduction to the customer as well as access to training regarding the role of a personal assistant. Additional requirements: To perform the job, you must have a Category B driver's license and access to a car, as public transportation to the customer's home is very limited. It is an advantage if you have an interest in dogs and thrive in an active work environment where much time is spent outdoors.

About the employment

The employment is for a fixed term as long as the assistance assignment lasts, and the salary form is hourly wage. Working hours vary according to the customer's needs: day, evening, night (active and on-call), weekdays, and weekends.

Salary and other terms of employment according to the Collective Agreement for Personal Assistance, Vårdföretagarna - Kommunal.
