About the position

We are now looking for a corporate lawyer who, together with the other land and environmental law lawyers, will work closely with the expansion projects in an advisory role. The work involves, among other things, handling concession, permit, and right-of-way reviews, representing Svenska kraftnät in court and authority proceedings, and conducting legal investigations. The work also includes providing advice on strategic environmental and property law issues, with the possibility of deepening expertise in right-of-way and other land access issues. The work may also cover other legal areas, such as administrative law.

The position is a permanent employment and is located at our headquarters in Sundbyberg or at our offices in Gothenburg, Västerås, Sundsvall, or Luleå.

Nine corporate lawyers currently work to support operations within land and environmental law through legal advice in projects to build and strengthen the transmission grid both on land and at sea. The role includes, among other things:

• Working with concession and permit reviews and, if necessary, representing Svenska kraftnät in court and before authorities.
• Conducting legal investigations and providing advice on strategic environmental and property law issues.
• Supporting the operations in responding to consultations from the Government Offices, authorities, and other actors.
• Continuously developing methods and processes to meet an expanding expansion activity and society's demands.

Svenska kraftnät has four units with corporate lawyers located on the Legal Department. The units, together with the Head of Legal, contribute to ensuring that Svenska kraftnät's operations comply with relevant legislation and proactively guide the operations regarding its legal prerequisites. In total, we are about 40 corporate lawyers who independently carry out work within a wide range of legal areas. The position is located in the Land and Environmental Law unit.

In the role, it is also important that you have high integrity, good judgment, and are solution-oriented, thus having the ability to find suitable solutions for the issues that arise in operations. Education:

You must have a Swedish law degree (juristexamen) or a Bachelor of Laws (jur.kand.).

You also have:

• At least seven years of experience in legal work from courts, municipalities, or other authorities, law firms, organizations, or companies.
• At least five years of experience in qualified land and environmental law work.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious qualifications

• Experience working with special property law, general property law, and contract law related to various forms of land easements.
• Experience working with or within the electricity industry.
• Experience from government operations or administrative law.
• Experience working in an advisory or supporting function in a larger project organization or operation.
