The Joint Management Administration consists of the business areas Democracy & Service, Economy & Procurement, Working Life & Digital Technology, Strategic Urban Planning, Fire & Rescue Services & Security, and the Secretariat.

The administration is tasked with leading, supporting, and coordinating the entire municipal organization on behalf of the Municipal Executive Board. This is done by focusing on the customer's needs and having a holistic view and common working methods. We are a learning organization that promotes innovation and learning from both the external environment and each other.

The business area Fire & Rescue Services and Security is characterized by responsibility, collaboration, and strong civic engagement. Here, we work to create security for residents and businesses through preventive work, supervision, education, and interventions in accidents and crises.

The work is varied and can involve everything from operational rescue interventions to planning, risk analysis, and information campaigns. With professionalism, respect, and care, we meet people in both everyday life and acute situations.

Within the Civil Protection and Readiness unit, cases such as regulatory enforcement, advisory services, education including communication, as well as civil preparedness, security, insurance, crisis preparedness, and heightened readiness are handled.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Readiness Coordinator, you will work together with your colleagues to drive and coordinate readiness issues within the unit and serve as a qualified support for the rest of the organization.

You will have the opportunity to drive development work within readiness, which involves identifying and analyzing risks and planning how situations should be handled. Your role focuses primarily on meeting requirements imposed on municipalities through laws, regulations, and assignments to build a robust wartime organization in Motala Municipality. The role also includes work with planning, education, and exercises to strengthen the capabilities of Motala-Vadstena Fire and Rescue Services during heightened readiness.

You are expected to be able to lead and coordinate cross-sectoral preparedness groups in the municipality and act as an expert both towards elected officials and municipal operations, as well as representing the municipality externally in matters concerning readiness and collaborating with authorities and other actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Competencies:

  • You have a post-secondary education in areas such as crisis preparedness, total defense, or societal development. You may also have other education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • You must have a valid B driver's license.
  • It is meritorious if you have worked in a municipal organization and have experience in civil preparedness, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation in the field. It is also meritorious if you have experience in leading training and/or exercise sessions.
  • It is meritorious if you have experience in work to strengthen and develop the capability of municipal fire and rescue services during heightened readiness (RUHB).

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: According to agreement with the hiring manager.
Working hours: Office hours with flexibility.
