Do you want to contribute to sustainable development in Stockholm County?
We are now looking for two socially engaged law students for fixed-term positions. You will belong to the Legal Affairs Department, currently placed at the Unit for Legal Operational Support and Review.
What does the role involve?
The County Administrative Board reviews appealed municipal decisions, primarily according to the Planning and Building Act, the Environmental Code, the Food Act, and the Act on Protection against Accidents. These cases are handled by the Unit for Legal Operational Support and Review.
In the role of case handler with us, you will be part of the unit's preparation group for appealed cases. You will work independently but in close collaboration with both lawyers and case handlers. The tasks vary from case administration to qualified legal processing. Examples of duties include reviewing and preparing incoming cases, issuing decisions, time-limit checks, transferring cases to court, and handling requests for public documents. Based on the operational needs and the inflow of cases, you will also write decisions as a presenter in simpler cases within one or more of the case categories handled by the unit.
As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you may need to be assigned to other tasks within the unit, department, or agency. It is therefore a prerequisite that you, as a person, are socially engaged and want to work with the breadth that the County Administrative Board has to offer.
Are you the one we are looking for?
For this role, you must have:
- Ongoing studies in law (which, when completed, provide 270 higher education credits) and have completed at least two terms of your education,
- Very good ability to express yourself simply and pedagogically in speech and writing in Swedish.

Furthermore, you are solution-oriented and flexible, receptive, unpretentious, and helpful. You have the ability to evaluate information to make correct, balanced, and legally secure assessments and prioritizations. In addition, you have very good collaboration skills, high integrity, personal maturity, and the willingness and ability to contribute to a good working environment.
As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you need to:
- Have the ability to make decisions considering multiple perspectives (holistic view),
- Understand that a central role for the County Administrative Board is to make trade-offs between different interests,
- Have the ability to prioritize and adapt to work with new tasks or in new contexts.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Current experience of case handling,
- Current experience of work within administration,
- Current experience of tasks within the service sector,
- Current experience of other job-related tasks relevant to the position.

Employment
- Number of positions: 2
- Type of employment: Special fixed-term employment, 9 months, September 2026 – May 2027.
- Extent: Part-time, 20%, with the possibility to structure the arrangement based on study needs.
More about us and the role
We work in centrally located premises in Stockholm. Possibility for remote work exists based on operational needs.
Approximately 110 employees currently work in the Legal Affairs Department. The department consists of five units, where the Unit for Legal Operational Support and Review is one of them. The Unit for Legal Operational Support and Review currently has approximately 30 employees.
