Rösjöskolan is located in Edsberg, close to nature reserves and Lake Rösjön. Approximately 420 students from preschool class to grade 6 attend the school. We offer school and after-school care for students in regular school, adapted school, and preparatory classes. The school environment creates all prerequisites for movement, learning, and health, and our employees are driven by making a difference and creating conditions for every student to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development. The compensatory mission is significant, and the school actively works to create a socially and academically promoting activity.

This is a fixed-term full-time position during the academic year 2026/2027.

Job Description

As an employee in adapted school, you are with the student throughout their entire school day and work closely with teaching teachers. You participate in the planning and implementation of teaching by creating clear adaptations before, during, and after lessons. In your role, you use communicative support processes and work in close collaboration with teaching teachers to support the student's development and learning.

You create conditions for students' participation in play, communication, and social interaction, and work with daily activities to strengthen their independence. Together with teaching teachers in physical education and health, you support students' motor development.

At the school, we work with ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), and all staff in adapted school receive regular supervision from our behavior analyst.

We are looking for approximately 18 employees at 100% for adapted school, where there is an opportunity for permanent positions, but also fixed-term appointments and substitutes.

Qualifications

You are a secure and stable person with good personal maturity and the ability to create trusting relationships with students and colleagues. You have a well-developed ability to collaborate and actively contribute to a positive and professional work climate.

You have good pedagogical insight and understand how you can adapt working methods, communication, and support structures based on each student's needs. You are attentive, structured, and have the ability to work long-term and goal-oriented in a team where the student's development is at the center.

Requirements

• Experience working in adapted school.

Merits

• Education in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis).
• Experience or education in communication aids, e.g., PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).
