Strandskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with 690 students located in a beautiful school building. The school achieves high results and is situated in an area with exceptional nature just around the corner. Guided by the vision "We give our children roots and wings," we offer an education where a secure and stable foundation creates the best conditions for daring to take on new challenges and test one's wings. We work thematically with creativity at the forefront. We consider cross-curricular work essential, and through a common Open House event per term for the entire school, all students have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in various ways.

We are a well-functioning school with a holistic view of both knowledge and students. With high and positive expectations for both students and staff, we achieve success. We offer challenging and developmental work together with engaged colleagues and students. With high student achievement, we actively work on school development based on research and proven experience. We have made good progress in the use of digital technology.

Strandskolan is a fantastic school to work in. We have grade-level teams with team leaders in all three stages: F-3, 4-6, and 7-9. We are looking for you who want to help develop tomorrow's school and after-school center. We think and work preventively and health-promoting, both regarding our students and each other.

We are a school with a strong focus on continuously developing and improving teaching and activities in the school and at the after-school center. Every educator needs a large toolbox to offer a successful and varied activity. We see digitalization as a natural part of our work and an opportunity in our toolbox. Creativity and aesthetic learning processes are further strings to our bow to achieve deep knowledge. We open up opportunities and see each individual's prerequisites.

About the position

We are looking for you who, together with us, provide an education where anything is possible. Where Science (NO) and Mathematics are challenging, fun, and developmental. Our goal is for all students to have the opportunity to discover the joy in the scientific and mathematical subjects. The team is tightly knit and has close cooperation in both development issues and daily life.

The position is planned to be filled full-time, as a permanent employment, starting from August 10, 2026.

The position is subject to the condition that it does not need to be filled by internal reassignments.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Science (NO) and Mathematics for grades 6-9 and who have a strong commitment, are easy to create and maintain relationships with students, staff, and guardians. You should preferably have experience of teaching in primary school, and it is meritorious if you also have qualifications in Technology or experience of teaching Technology.

We would appreciate it if you have experience working cross-curricular to increase the experience of context for our students. You should be well acquainted with the school's steering documents and be able to apply them in practice. Furthermore, it is important that you are structured, proactive, and self-regulating.

You should have experience with and a willingness to meet students' differences. In teaching, you should awaken students' curiosity to explore and experiment with different materials and dare to take on challenges in a creative way. It is important that you have the ability to find different strategies to reach every student and strengthen the student in their knowledge and personal development.

As a person, you are sensitive and unpretentious. By being interested and having understanding for others, you work for a respectful work climate. You have a good approach and are open with a positive attitude in your meeting with students and colleagues. You have the ability to create good relationships and contribute to seeing opportunities and solutions in our work to develop a school that meets the students in the best way.

We would appreciate it if you are a person with good personal maturity, are easy to collaborate with, take initiative in leadership, and work in a structured manner.
