About Us

Eneskolan in Järna is now looking for an engaged study and career counselor for our municipal F–9 school, as our current counselor is retiring. From the autumn term, Eneskolan will be parallel in grades F–6 and multi-parallel in grades 7–9. The school is in the midst of exciting and purposeful development work where we together strengthen the quality of teaching, students' goal achievement, and safety throughout the entire operation.

We are an organization working to ensure that every student feels seen, supported, and prepared for the future. At our school, the student's development, well-being, and future dreams are at the center. We are now looking for an engaged and professional study and career counselor who wants to be an important part of our student support team.

About the Position

As a study and career counselor with us, you will have a central role in guiding students in their educational and career choices. You will work both strategically and operationally, individually and in groups, contributing to creating a safe and inspiring path forward for our students.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual counseling sessions with students.
• Inform about educational paths, eligibility requirements, and future career opportunities.
• Support students in decision-making processes regarding upper secondary school, adult education, or higher studies.
• Plan and conduct group information sessions, workshops, and counseling initiatives.
• Collaborate with school leadership, student health services, and teachers to strengthen the school's counseling work.
• Be responsible for PRAO (Workplace Practice).
• Contribute to the school's work with study and career counseling as part of the teaching (SYV in teaching).
• Keep up to date with labor market developments and changes in the education system.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Degree in study and career counseling.
• Good knowledge of the education system and the labor market.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Good communication skills in both speech and writing.

Merits:

• Experience working within primary and lower secondary school.
• Experience working with students in need of special support.
• Knowledge of digital counseling tools and study planning systems.
